| Festival Description | Europuppet is the first European Network of figure theatre. It was founded in 2002 by five companies that were operating in different EU countries: Akademia teatralna di Bialystok (Poland), Arrivano dal mare! di Cervia (Italy), Crea theatre di Tournai (Belgium), Figurentheater festival der stadt di Wels (Austria), and Theatre de la marionnette di Parigi (France). The network goal is to promote the importance of Figure Theatre: an art bringing to itself a long and glorious tradition of variety, characters, and techniques that continue to represent a very interesting field for innovative theatre experimentations. |
