Festival Description

The Kluane Mountain Bluegrass Festival is entirely run by volunteers from the Yukon Bluegrass Music Society. The purpose of the society is to encourage both the playing and enjoyment of bluegrass/old-time music in the Yukon where there is a strong bluegrass/old-time music following. The Festival showcases pure acoustic bluegrass music, unlike other festivals in the region. The festival is held in the St. Elias Convention Centre which has a state-of-the-art theatre that holds 260 concert seats. Haines Junction is a village of 800 people, nestled at the foot of the spectacular St. Elias Mountains and the gateway to Kluane National Park.

Festival Dates June 8 - 10, 2012
