| Festival Description | The annual traditional and cultural arts festival takes place in Olal Village in north Ambrym. The programming features custom dances, tam tam drum beatings, custom magic shows and highlights the Yeng Dance. In addition there will be women’s custom dance, the Namangi ceremony, flute demonstrations, and sand drawings. The culmination of the festival is celebrated with the signatory dance of Ambrym Island — the Rom custom dance. Lodging is available at Ranon, Olal Mission, and yachts can anchor at Olal and Nobul, north Ambrym. |
