Festival Description

The Ottawa Children’s Festival is a five-day extravaganza of theatre, dance, arts and music from highly acclaimed international and local artists. Programs are created for children aged four to 15—focused on enriching school curriculum and promoting the arts as an integral part of children’s education.Established in 1985, the Ottawa Children’s Festival has built a solid foundation the community, and a strong relationship among the Ottawa school boards over the last 19 years. The festival supports local schools in providing children with the opportunity to experience the highest quality of arts programming, thus supporting a well-rounded, early-years education in the arts, through our summer festival. Creative partnerships to enhance the community with a strong arts program ultimately fosters proud, satisfied people and improves overall learning.
