Festival Description

Gwanwyn is a month-long national festival held across Wales in May celebrating creativity in older age. Meaning ‘spring’ in Welsh, Gwanwyn celebrates older age as a time of opportunity for renewal, growth and creativity. The festival offers opportunities for greater participation by older people in the arts, whether visual arts, drama, storytelling, music, literature, dance or film. The festival is an opportunity to highlight and promote the participation of older people in the arts throughout the year. It is a time for performance, exhibition, workshops, discussion, networking and most importantly fun!

Festival Dates May 6 - June 19, 2011
