Festival Description | Bažant Pohoda festival will celebrate its 14th anniversary in 2010. The event will welcome as many as 100 performers from more then 20 countries, the festival will also offer a venue for other forms of art — sculptures, painting and graffiti, an extensive dance workshop, literature, cinema, discussions about psychology and a singing workshop will all contribute to unique atmosphere of Bazant Pohoda Festival. The festival site is located in the area of Trencin’s airport, with the facilities providing a place for relaxation. The Trencin airport offers an ideal mix of grass and concrete so there will be a prevention of prospective mud or dust. |

- Dengue Fever (USA)
Performance — July 12, 2013- Cambodian and American rock band Dengue Fever will be sharing the stage with France’s La Corda and fellow Americans Outasight. Other US notables in this year’s lineup are M.I.A., Roky Erickson, Matthew Dear and The Gaslamp Killer. Dengue Fever is currently recording a new album that will be released in Spring 2011 on Fantasy Records, a division of Concord Music Group. The forthcoming release will feature all new material, and will include tracks in both Khmer and English. Dengue Fever’s ascent from local eastside Los Angeles indie band to international pop attraction has been a steady climb. Known for their high- energy live shows at clubs, theaters and festivals, the band has captured attention from some unconventional corners. Metallica’s Kirk Hammett chose their song “One Thousand Tears of a Tarantula” as his second favorite song of the decade in Rolling Stone; in 2010, Dengue Fever was the answer of a question on Jeopardy!; and, True Blood, HBO’s smash television series not only featured band’s music but also named an entire episode after their composition, “Escape from Dragon House.” The band has garnered critical praise from all over the world. Amazon.com named Dengue Fever’s second album “Escape From Dragon House” the #1 International Release of the Year, Spin magazine featured the band in their ‘Breaking Out’ section, and high profile features have appeared in the New York Times, Magnet, Wired, and N.P.R.’s “Fresh Air” and Radio Australia, just to name a few.

Dengue Fever is Cambodian songstress Chhom Nimol, Zac Holtzman (guitar/vocals), Ethan Holtzman (keyboards), Senon Williams (bass), Paul Smith (drums) and David Ralicke (horns). They have released three albums, Dengue Fever, Escape From Dragon House Venus On Earth and the DVD/CD soundtrack to the band’s documentary Sleepwalking Through The Mekong, in addition to a collection of lost Cambodian classics, Dengue Fever Presents: Electric Cambodia. Their debut release on Fantasy Records, a division of Concord Music Group is set for release in the first half of 2011.They are based in Los Angeles.
