Festival Description | Each year since 1987, the Red Earth Native American Cultural Festival has attracted visitors to Oklahoma City from around the world. The Dance Competition and cultural activities demonstrations are a unique opportunity to view a range of traditional dance styles and regalia, as well as to hear storytellers, musicians, and other performers. Buyers and collectors can purchase directly from juried Indian artists who come from throughout the United States, visiting with the artists themselves and learning about their art. In celebration of the organization’s twentieth festival year, the Red Earth Festival is returning to its home—downtown Oklahoma City. For a three-day period, the Cox Convention Center will host the cultural festival known worldwide for performance and fine arts, as well as children’s and youth’s dance and art competitions, and educational activities. |
