| Festival Description | The annual Ranelagh Arts Festival has something for everyone in the community. The program comprises a good local base with a dash of exotic flavouring. Past participants included — Maura O’Connell, Ciarán Tourish, Michael O’Sullivan. From classical music to the Battle of the Bands, the cinemobile, historical walks and talks, and fringe events—there is something for all age groups and artistic tastes. The Festival is run by a local voluntary committee, with not one paid employee whose contribution creates a sense of community in the area. |

Festival Story:
A group of Ranelagh residents came together in 2005 to deliver an innovative and inclusive Arts Festival for the local community from September 29th to October 2nd, 2005. Their objective was to establish an annual arts festival for the people of the village and beyond. The Festival typically runs during the last week of September. The organizers continually build on the success of its previous program to further broaden events in the areas of music, literary, poetry, history of Ranelagh and much more.
