The festival’s aim is to popularize Ukrainian art, the national choreographic heritage, and informing the public about the achievements of the world cultures. The gathering strengthens international contacts and cultural ties with the peoples of the world through the mutual enrichment of traditions, rites, and customs. The festival is the only one among the members of the organization CIOFF, having representatives of two countries—Ukraine (Lutsk) and Poland (Wlodawa) as its organizers. The participants are selected by the national office of the CIOFF and present authentic, newly arranged or stylized folklore of their countries.
