| Festival Description | The renowned Festival Internacional de las Culturas Pirineos Sur world music festival gathers some of the most popular artists that have participated in past editions. The festival director, Luis Calvo along with friendly festival critics select the artists each year. In addition, Pirineos Sur also includes new artists from Aragón—the Spanish autonomous community in northern Spain where Pirineos Sur takes place, and southern France. The festival is organized by the Diputación Provincial de Huesca (provincial government) and is sponsored by Ibercaja, La Zaragozana, Cacique and JB. The festival is expected to draw an international audience of 50,000 world music fans. |
