Festival Description

The Carthage Theater Festival features Tunisian and African playwrights. The 2005 festival featured 45 dramatic performances from 16 Arab, African, European and Asian countries. Conferences are also scheduled to take place. Moreover, there are typcially visiual arts exhibits as well as debates on dramatic discourse and new aesthetic techniques. It is expected that some 300 participants and about 100 personalities from the dramatic arts, critics and the media will attend the event.
