Festival Description

The International Festival “Women in Dance”, celebrates the unification of the world with peace by using a common and fundamental form of human expression—the art of dance. In a universal joint effort, the Casa de la Dance Foundation, brings to the life this encounter of great refugee and social impact with the best world-wide dance. Each year the ideals of this festival become reality on March 8th with a tribute to women—gathering and recognizing the work of the feminine, by projecting it from a new consciousness for the value of as much for men as for women. By honoring the diverse international dance styles of the world the festival equally honors the diversity of peoples throughout the world. The Festival the International “Women in the Dance” is organized each year to take place in Ecuador’s capital, Quito and extends to outlying areas such as Guayaquil, Cuenca, Esmeraldas y Cotacachi where world-wide dance is made within reach of all the public.
