Since 1994 Mönsterås Blues & Roots Festival has featured Swedish acts alongside international guest artists in multiple venues in the town of Mönsterås. The festival offers great food and beverage fare to enjoy and spontaneous dancing occurs frequently — making for a celebratory and fun atmosphere.

Since the 2007 festival there has been a new concept within the festival area and at the Main street location. The Bluesfestival will remain in the town of Mönsterås—but, what is new will be a free stage at the square presenting music until 6:00pm on Friday and Saturday. Several stages along the Main street will also have music. The festival area at Parkskolan lies just 250 meters from the Main street. Our new concept will be evident here too—there will only be two stages—one in the sport hall and one in a tent. As in the previous years we will provide food, beer and wine inside the festival area.
