Festival Description | Held twice a year, during the Jewish religious festivals of Shavuot and Sukkot, the Abu Gosh Vocal Music Festival offers a plethora of musical offerings each year. The Abu Gosh Vocal Music Festival includes four days of a wide and rich repertoire of vocal music, with the participation of about 700 musicians—choirs, soloists, orchestras and ensembles. In addition to the most popular and best loved works, there will be unique productions, formed especially for the Festival. The 30th Festival summarizes years of rich development, unique in the Israeli musical scene, and presents soloists, orchestras and ensembles of the highest quality combined with spiritual musical experiences—works by Rossini, Bach, Handel, Haydn, Schubert, Saint-Saens, Cherubini, Mozart, Vivaldi, Mendelssohn, Dvorak, Fauré, Dorival Caymmi (Brazil), music from the Balkans, Sardinia, Sicily, Italy, Spain, Spirituals, Gospel and more. |
