| Festival Description | Kendal Calling Festival celebrated its inaugural edition in 2006 and features a diverse line-up of musicians for a weekend of music, world cuisine, camping and games. The spectacular venue features 2000 year old trees and deer that have lived on the site for hundres of years. Kendal Calling is a 3 day, independent, grass roots festival located in evergreen Lakeland hills. They have a penchant for games and hedonistic high jinks and an almighty eclectic ear for musical talent. Music in the Kendal Calling meadow spans 12 distinct and diverse stages in a close-knit site that means you’re never far from your friends. A multitude of walkabout performers and artists roaming the fields from contortionists to comic fitness instructors, from jugglers to hula-hoopers and much more. Previous years have hosted the likes of: Dizzee Rascal, Pendulum, The Zutons, The Streets, Super Furry Animals, Scratch Perverts, Stanton Warriors and Mumford and Sons to name just a few.
