| Festival Description | Founded in the 1980s the Sanibel Music Festival has presented classical music performances featuring a stellar roster of renowned musicians. In addition the festival serves to promote the careers of rising talents. Each March the festival programming includes piano, chamber music, recital and vocal ensemble concerts. Some past peformers include: Emerson String Quartet; Juilliard String Quartet; Jon Nakamatsu; Ruth Laredo; Kitty Carlisle Hart; Parisii String Quartet; Yakov Kasman; The Ahn Piano Trio; Wu Han and David Finckel; Mc Dermott Piano Trio; American String Quartet; and Orpheus String Quartet. |
