| Festival Description | The Glasgow International Jazz Festival was established in 1987—and is one of Europe’s finest jazz events and biggest celebrations of jazz in Europe, bringing the most celebrated musicians to Glasgow. Performances take place at various venues around the city, including a specially constructed open-air stage in George Square. Musicians from all over the globe flock to this lively city for what is one of the biggest celebrations of jazz in Scotland. Past performers have included The Avishai Cohen Quartet, King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys, The Michael Brecker Quindectet, The Stan Tracey Quartet and Van Morrison. |
