The Zürcher Theater Spektakel is a festival for new and innovative theatre, dance-theatre and related fields. Its main objective is to present international work from Europe and other continents that brings relevant ideas into an elaborated artistical form of expression. Every year, the festival invites 20 - 25 companies or artists from all over the world. A specific amount of the budget is reserved for productions or coproductions with companies and artists whose work have special links with the festival. The Zürcher Theater Spektakel has existed since 1980.
