| Festival Description | The Jijel Music Festival has a lofty motivator—French and Algerian friendship within the structures its musical offerings. The organizers belive that culture has no border and their festival is a perfect example of this point of view. In its third year, the Festival brought a diverse group of French and Algerian musician to the cultural forefront of a seaside Algerian town of Jijel. The organizers also encourage the talent of young musicians, so that they can learn from the more established artists who perform alongside them. In 2006, Baaziz, Arès, Kheira, and Equinox made up a few of the featured performers. |
