| Festival Description | DRMK (Collective for Development of Youth Culture, in Slovenian it means Drustvo zaRazvoj Mladinske Kulture) is a voluntary collective of young people whose aim is to bring forward and realize cultural initiatives. DRMK has launched more than 50 successful events since 2001, called Youth Actions, and they continue to work on more initiatives. Every April the Noise Festival happens and is one among DRMK events. This international festival of experimental music and noise, and regular "actions" features concerts with music groups from different countries, video projections, etc. The activities are created in a non-profit, non-commercial way and involve young people who otherwise might not have a chance to perform and take part in events such as these. Included in their projects are not only groups from the area of Ljubljana, but from the whole of Slovenia and abroad (Europe, USA, Japan, etc.). |
