| Festival Description | The festival came into being in 1987 as a show of amateur theatre ensembles from the surrounding area. In 1993 the structure and the concept of the festival were changed and the festival also presented professional theatre ensembles. It is an international festival, featuring non-traditional genres—street theatre, and puppet theatre for adults. |

Festival Story:
“Cibulák” is a local delicacy of pig fat spread on a bread and topped with onions. In fact, it is a tradition to serve cibulák to visitors. This easy and good tasting mixture is just like the festival. The festival began as a kind of modern day medieval street fair with stages set out in the open and a carnival atmosphere. Now, the festival invites ensembles from other countries to join in the fun. Past festivals have included everything from wild juggling to a comic version of Hamlet. And be sure to try the cibulák.

How to get there:
- Pezinok is situated just outside Bratislava along route 502 heading north through Rača.
- There are also frequent bus and train connections. Buses leave every half hour from the main terminal on Mlynske Nivy, the main bus station in Bratislava
