Festival Description

Norwegian Wood is the only outdoor rock festival in Oslo, which in seven years has managed to establish itself as one of Norway’s major events. The festival is staged at Frognerbadet, an open air bath with pools which can be used during the festival, situated within the beautiful Vigeland Park, 10 minutes walk from downtown Oslo. The swimming pools are usually open during the festivals. The first festival took place in 1992. In 1994 the festival moved to beautiful Frognerbadet. Annually some 6,000 people pack the grass-covered natural amphitheatre to see Norwegian and international artists in concert.
