| Festival Description | The Big Bear Festival was first held in 1983 as an outdoor event. Because of the weather, after a few years it found a roof in the beautiful theater De Kimme in Zuidlaren, where it stays until now. It is a small festival, with a line-up of five or six bands and an audience of 300 or 400 people. It focuses on bluegrass and acoustic country music. The Big Bear Festival is part of the annual European World of Bluegrass (EWOB), under the auspices of the European Bluegrass Music Association. |
