| Festival Description | The Brisbane Blues Festival takes place at The Jubilee Hotel in Fortitude Valley. The day will be like a gathering of old friends as the blues artists take to the stage. Artists have included The Trophy Brides, Jimi Beavis & the 385s, Asa Broomhall (solo), Doug Wilshire & the Tailspinners, Bluesville Station and The Mojo Webb Band. The Heritage listed and renovated Jubilee Hotel has grown to be a mainstay on the local music scene and what better place to host this Brisbane Blues community oriented event. With its expansive covered outdoor courtyards and inside air-conditioned chill rooms, this venue really has what it takes to provide a great day and night out. Still featuring a two-stage format so the live music is non-stop from 4:00pm till late. The band times are sequenced so the punters can catch the complete set of every band on the bill. The open-air venue also features a fine restaurant that will be open during the event. |
