Festival Description

Budapest hosts one of the most colourful cultural series of events of the Hungarian summer. The Danube Carnival is organised by the BM Duna Art Ensemble in Budapest. The primary objective of the Carnival is to present the most significant national and regional cultural achievements and trends, and besides the Hungarian professional and traditional dance groups welcome the representatives of the European culture and guest ensembles from overseas. Various art forms are represented such as folk dance and music, contemporary dance, classical music, brass music, musical, besides the wide palette of the performing countries. The sites of the Parade: Vörösmarty Square, Vajdahunyad Castle in the City Park, Margaret Island Open Air Theatre, Duna Palace, Mátyásföld, Békásmegyer, Rákoskert, Budakalász, Üröm, Balatonföldvár.
