Festival Description | Spielzeiteuropa — A new forum for international dance and theater! Supplementing the festivals during the winter months, this new program series shows productions, co-productions, and premieres from other European countries between October and February. Rounding out the series are selected co-productions from the German-speaking realm. The most diverse aesthetic approaches in European theater make the Haus der Berliner Festspiele into a platform for new theatrical forms. The focus is on European perspectives, but also on points of view that transcend the continent. In collaboration with theaters and festival in Western and Eastern Europe, spielzeiteuropa brings both prominent and lesser-known artists to Berlin. Each season, the European point of view is supplemented by a non-European artist who offers his/her special perspective “from outside.” |
