Chango Spasiuk’s US Tour

Chango Chango Spasiuk grew up in Misiones, Argentina, a region with a heritage of indigenous population, Creoles and 20th Century foreign immigrants from the Ukraine. Spasiuk is a virtuoso in the folk music of Northeast Argentina called chamame. You can see him on his first US tour which includes stops at the Lotus Festival in Bloomington, Illinois on September 28-29, the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C on October 3rd and at the International Accordion Festival in San Antonio, Texas October 13-15th.

Avital Raz - Strange Love Songs

Avital RAZ Israeli singer/songwriter Avital Raz is trained in both classical western and Indian classical music and has just completed an album of Indian-infused folk music titled “Strange Love Songs”. You can see her at Beth Gath in Jerusalem on September 27th.

BalletLab 2007 US Tour

ballet lab The Australian contemporary dance company BalletLab is touring their new work- Origami. In collaboration with architectural company BURO and 3 Deep Design, this work fuses industrial modernist architecture, visual design, and the intricate art of origami. You can see them at Vanderbilt University in Nashville on September 29th and at the White Bird in Portland October 11th- 13th.
