Crossing Thresholds in Moscow

Maida Withers The Washington D.C-based choreographer Maida Withers and her Dance Construction Company are celebrating their 30th anniversary. They are currently presenting Thresholds Crossed, a multi-media dance work that explores the events, ideology and issues that link the United States with the former Soviet Union and contemporary Russia. You can see them at the Moon Theatre in Moscow on April 26th.

The Bird and the Bee

Misnomer

Misnomer The dance company Misnomer will premiere “future perfect”, a fifty-minute quest that explores the individual paths that lead to a more desirable place. It’s at the Skirball Center in New York City on April 12th and 14th. The evening ends with a dance party and live DJ. Misnomer’s recent production was named one of the top ten dance performances for 2006 by the New York Times.

Catching Cold War Kids

cold war Indie rock band Cold War Kids’ performance on April 6th at Webster Hall in New York City is sold out. However, you can catch them at the Bonnaroo Festival in Tennessee June 15th. Their soul-blues-rock infused sound is sure to be a hit.
