DynamO Theatre upcoming productions
Thursday, October 19th, 2006DynamO Théâtre, an internationally acclaimed theatre company, focuses on developing, producing and performing original plays for children that draw on movement, physical acting and clowning as a dramatic language. They have presented productions at the Salisbury Festival, Calgary International Children’s Festival and the Dublin Theatre Festival. Upcoming productions include “me me me…” at the Y Stage in Calgary, Canada from October 22nd -25th.

Block 25 Navigators Chronicle Journey
Wednesday, October 11th, 2006Once every four years, DasArts, Advanced Studies in the Performing Arts in Amsterdam transfers its study program to a foreign location. At the invitation of Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, a group of artists have embarked on a program of study called Block 25- Navigators. Arriving from countries and cultures of 5 different continents, their trek to the most remote region of Australia cut them loose from any of their comfortable anchor points. They are now back in Melbourne for 2 months to create a work that expresses their perspective on this journey. The outcome of this artistic voyage of discovery will be presented from 19 October to 25 October 2006 in a multi-disciplinary event at the Melbourne International Arts Festival, with public performances at the VCA’s Studio 45 and in the multidisciplinary program of Dutch contemporary arts in Australia: Dutch Dare.

Matarile Teatro celebrates 20th Anniversary
Wednesday, October 4th, 2006The theatre company Matarile Teatro was created in Santiago, Spain in 1986. They are celebrating their twentieth anniversary with a Fall tour of the production “Historia Natural” which reunites theatre, dance, and music. The tour will begin on October 18th at the XXVI Festival of Theatre “Les Translatines in Bayonne, France.
